This loop was created for an installation exploring ideas of play. The original version was recorded at 54bpm. For the installation, the piece was slowed and pitched down 64.8% to make the 35BPM version which better fit the space. The music is meant to be played on loop whilst busying oneself and/or playing and/or dancing, referencing the title of the recording and the installation "plegōjanan" (proto west-germanic "occupy oneself about" www.etymonline.com/word/play)
The piece itself was made by automating randomized midi arpeggios within a set of fixed rules, thus letting the computer play. The recording here only is an excerpt from a potentially infinitely playing song.
